Due to the imminent threat of Hurricane Dorian to the state of Florida, the University of Florida College of Nursing is taking necessary precautions at Archer Family Health Care to ensure the safety of patients, faculty, staff and students.

Archer Family Health will be closed on Tuesday, September 3rd.

An announcement regarding whether the University will remain closed on Wednesday, Sept. 4, will be forthcoming when a decision is made.

In Gainesville, the University of Florida’s emergency managers are actively monitoring the developing weather and are participating in daily calls with local and state forecasters and emergency managers to learn Hurricane Irma’s track and impacts. The university will update the greater Gator community on efforts, expected impacts or schedule changes as information is available.

Any additional closures for AFHC will be posted as they become available.

The college will work closely with university and state officials in actively monitoring the track of Hurricane Dorian, and will update the college’s website and social media channels with more information as it becomes available.

We encourage everyone throughout the state to follow instructions and evacuation mandates from state and local government officials. Be safe!
